I am 5'6" and I am very thin - I know that's short but I look like 5'7".. Who can I email to start?

Anyone can be a model, plain and simple. All it takes is posing for a photographer, and you are a "model".

The best thing to do is find a local photographer (or two) who would be willing to do a TFP session ) to start building a portfolio (Time For Photos...you model for free and the photographer gives you some photos for free. I would suggest that you look at some of the photographers in your area on http://www.onemodelplace.com . (most will specify if they do TFP sessions or not).

Then, once you have an assortment of good photos, then consider having some Sed cards (comp cards) printed and mailed off to the local modeling agencies.

I know 2 "shorties" (5'4"), who make a decent living working with local photographers. Their key to success is that they 1) show up on time 2) show up ready to work and 3) have a great attitude and can follow directions.
